Balcone Technologies (referred to here as "we", "us" and "our") operates this website. We're the controller of any personal data described below.

When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically logs technical information for every request: your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, your browser's user-agent string, the referring URL, and standard HTTP metadata. This is necessary to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and detect attacks. Legal basis under GDPR: Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
When you join the waitlist. If you submit our signup form, we collect:
We use this only to: notify you when Balcone is ready for you, and decide invitation order. We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer this data to third parties for marketing. Legal basis under GDPR: Article 6(1)(a) — your consent, given by submitting the form, in combination with Article 6(1)(b) for steps taken at your request prior to entering a service relationship.
Waitlist entries are stored in Cloudflare KV, Cloudflare's globally distributed key-value store. The site itself is served from Cloudflare's CDN, which operates data centers worldwide, including in the EU. Cloudflare is based in the United States; for EU users, transfers are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Cloudflare's data processing addendum (details here).
We retain waitlist data until either: (a) you start using Balcone as a customer, at which point we'll transfer relevant data into your account, or (b) you ask us to delete it, or (c) we decide not to launch the product. In the last case we'll delete all waitlist data within a reasonable time.
We currently load typefaces from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). When your browser renders the page, it briefly contacts Google's servers and your IP address is transmitted in the process. We are working on self-hosting these fonts to remove this dependency.
We don't set analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security and bot-mitigation purposes. We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking script on this site.
